Comprehensive Metabolic Panel

Creatinine is a waste product created by normal muscle activity and filtered out of the blood by the kidneys. Testing creatinine shows how well your kidneys are clearing waste, since levels rise when kidney function declines.

This ratio compares two major blood proteins, albumin and globulin, which are produced by the liver and immune system. An abnormal ratio can point toward liver disease, kidney issues, or chronic inflammation.
Bilirubin is a byproduct created when the body breaks down old red blood cells, and it’s processed by the liver. Elevated levels can signal liver dysfunction or a problem with red blood cell breakdown, sometimes showing up as jaundice.
Globulins are a group of proteins involved in immune defense and blood clotting. Abnormal levels can indicate liver disease, autoimmune conditions, or chronic infection.
This ratio compares two kidney-related markers to help distinguish true kidney dysfunction from causes like dehydration. A high ratio often points to d
eGFR estimates how efficiently your kidneys are filtering waste from your blood. A declining eGFR is one of the earliest and most reliable signs of reduced kidney function, often before symptoms appear.
ALP is an enzyme found mainly in the liver and bones. Elevated levels can point to liver disease, bile duct blockage, or bone conditions, since the enzyme is released when either tissue is under stress.
Albumin is a protein made by the liver that helps maintain fluid balance and transport hormones and nutrients through the blood. Low levels can indicate liver disease, poor nutrition, or kidney problems that allow protein to leak out.

Calcium supports bone strength, nerve signaling, and muscle contraction, and its levels are tightly regulated by the body. Both high and low calcium can point to issues with the parathyroid glands, kidneys, or vitamin D levels.

BUN measures a waste product formed when the body breaks down protein, which is filtered out by the kidneys. Elevated BUN often signals reduced kidney function, dehydration, or a high-protein diet.

Chloride is an electrolyte that works alongside sodium to maintain fluid balance and blood pressure. Abnormal levels are often linked to dehydration, kidney issues, or acid-base imbalances in the body.

Lipid Panel with Ratio

Triglycerides are a type of fat stored in the blood and used for energy, and levels rise with excess calories, sugar, or alcohol intake. High triglycerides are linked to increased cardiovascular risk and can also signal insulin resistance.
This measures the overall amount of cholesterol circulating in your blood, combining both the “good” and “bad” types. On its own, it gives a limited picture, which is why it’s read alongside the more specific markers in this panel.
Often called “good” cholesterol, HDL helps carry excess cholesterol away from your arteries and back to the liver for removal. Low HDL is associated with higher cardiovascular risk, while higher levels are generally protective.
This is calculated by subtracting HDL from your total cholesterol, capturing all the cholesterol types considered harmful to your arteries. It’s often considered a stronger predictor of cardiovascular risk than total cholesterol alone.
This ratio compares your total cholesterol to your HDL, giving a more precise read on cardiovascular risk than either number alone. A higher ratio generally indicates greater risk, even if your total cholesterol looks normal.
Often called “bad” cholesterol, LDL contributes to plaque buildup in your arteries when levels run high. Elevated LDL is one of the most established risk factors for heart disease and stroke.
This ratio weighs your “bad” cholesterol against your “good” cholesterol, offering a clearer risk picture than either number alone. A higher ratio suggests your cardiovascular risk may be greater than your individual numbers imply.

CBC with Differential

RDW measures how much variation exists in the size of your red blood cells. A higher RDW can help identify certain types of anemia, particularly those caused by nutrient deficiencies

Neutrophils are the most abundant white blood cell and serve as your body’s first line of defense against bacterial infection. Elevated levels often indicate an active infection or inflammation, while low levels can increase infection risk.
Monocytes are white blood cells involved in fighting infection and clearing damaged tissue. Elevated levels can point to chronic infection, inflammation, or certain blood disorders.
Lymphocytes are central to your immune response, including your body’s ability to fight viruses and produce antibodies. Abnormal levels can indicate infection, immune dysfunction, or, in some cases, more serious blood conditions.
Eosinophils are white blood cells that respond to allergic reactions and certain parasitic infections. Elevated levels often point toward allergies, asthma, or a parasitic infection.
Basophils are the least common white blood cell type and play a role in allergic and inflammatory responses. Elevated levels can be associated with allergic reactions or certain chronic conditions.

These are immature neutrophils released into the bloodstream, typically in response to infection. Elevated levels can suggest your body is fighting an active infection.
Blasts are very immature blood cells that aren’t normally found in circulating blood. Their presence can be a significant finding and typically warrants further evaluation.
These are an intermediate stage in white blood cell development. Their presence in the bloodstream can indicate your body is responding to infection or bone marrow stress.
Myelocytes are another immature white blood cell precursor, not normally seen in circulating blood. Their presence can point to infection or, less commonly, a bone marrow disorder.

Promyelocytes are an early-stage white blood cell precursor. Like other immature cell types, their presence can point to infection or bone marrow involvement.
These are lymphocytes that have changed in appearance, typically in response to a viral infection. Elevated levels often accompany illnesses like mononucleosis.
MPV reflects the average size of your platelets. Larger platelets can indicate your body is producing new platelets rapidly, often in response to blood loss or increased destruction.
WBC measures your total immune cell count. Elevated levels often point to infection or inflammation, while low levels can indicate immune suppression or bone marrow issues.
RBC measures the total number of oxygen-carrying cells in your blood. Low counts are associated with anemia, while high counts can point to dehydration or other conditions.

Metabolic Health

HbA1c reflects your average blood sugar level over the past two to three months, rather than a single point in time. Elevated levels are used to diagnose and monitor insulin resistance and diabetes.

This measures how much insulin your body is producing to manage blood sugar. Elevated insulin, even with normal glucose, can be an early sign of insulin resistance developing before diabetes does.
hs-CRP is a highly sensitive marker of inflammation throughout the body. Elevated levels are linked to increased cardiovascular risk, even in people with otherwise normal cholesterol.
Uric acid is a waste product formed when the body breaks down certain foods and cells. High levels are linked to gout and can also affect kidney function over time.

Thyroid

is the signal your pituitary gland sends to control thyroid hormone production. It’s typically the first marker checked to screen for an underactive or overactive thyroid.

Uptake This is an older laboratory method used to assess how thyroid hormone is binding in the blood. It’s typically interpreted alongside other thyroid markers rather than on its own.
Free T4 measures the active, usable form of your primary thyroid hormone. Abnormal levels help determine whether your thyroid is underactive or overactive.
This measures the total amount of thyroxine in your blood, both bound and free. It’s used alongside Free T4 and TSH to build a complete picture of thyroid function.

Iron Studies

Ferritin reflects how much iron your body has in storage. Low ferritin is one of the earliest signs of developing iron deficiency, often before anemia appears on a standard blood count.
This measures the amount of iron actively circulating in your bloodstream at the time of the draw. It fluctuates more than ferritin, so it’s typically interpreted alongside other iron markers.
TIBC measures how much iron your blood could carry if fully saturated. It rises when your body is iron deficient and trying to increase its capacity to absorb more.
This shows what percentage of your iron-carrying capacity is actually in use. Low saturation points to iron deficiency, while high saturation can indicate iron overload.

Liver Health

GGT is a liver enzyme that tends to rise before many other signs of liver stress become apparent. It’s particularly sensitive to alcohol use and certain medications, making it useful for catching early liver strain.

Vitamins & Nutrition

Vitamin D supports bone health, immune function, and mood regulation. Deficiency is extremely common and has been linked to fatigue, low mood, and weakened immunity.
B12 is essential for nerve function and red blood cell production. Low levels can cause fatigue, brain fog, and, if left untreated, nerve damage.
